“Very wonderful Pruning Saw”

I dropped my standard bow saw Ive used for pruning fruit trees for several years. I decided it was time to upgrade my choice of handsaw as while the bow saw always cut great, there we occasions when I couldn’t create closure cuts on account of the design of the bow saw. I found this Samurai Ichiban 13 pruning saw and was amazed with of the reviews so I decided to give it a try. It arrived on-time and in good shape. First, I had been impressed with the packaging. Though the saw is securely put into the hard plastic scabbard they still coated the entire scabbard with a transparent plastic sheath.Scabbard: The scabbard is substantial; thick and hard with a pivoting belt loop. I anticipate this scabbard will outlast the saw.Saw: The green, soft rubber-coated handle with finger grooves is hardy and feels good in the hand. I would prefer a smooth grip handle as opposed to the finger hand, but this is my taste. I notices a 4 inch plastic shield following the handle insertion only on the saw teeth upon pulling the saw from the scabbard. I feel that is here in order to guard the saw teeth because the saw is attracted. The blade has a nice curve that advertisements great equilibrium when sawing. The staggered teeth are extremely sharp. I presses my finger against the blades but not hard enough to draw blood, which, as one reviewer said, will purify my skin.Cutting: I instantly took my fresh Samurai saw to the apple orchard where I knew I had one crotch cut that needed to be made. I had left as my original bow saw would not work on this cut , for when I introduced the saws-all out this cut. This Samurai pruning saw cuts through wood readily, leaving a very smooth and clean cut. I cut through a 2-inch diameter branch. I inspected the open cut of the removed branch and was impressed by how smooth of a cut this blade leaves much cleaner than my previous bow saw or the pruning blade on my saws-all. Im very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anybody who does a lot or maybe a bit of pruning.

“Cuts Through Larger Branches Like Butter! ”

After a great deal of research, we chose to take a chance on the Samurai Ichiban and wasn’t disappointed. We have a huge ficus tree that has turned into a problem with branches reaching high they pushed our roof tiles. Had gotten many bids from tree trimming companies, none of which were under $400 minimum. So, for $37 (with prime delivery!) It was determined wed try to trim it ourselves. It was surprising light and easy to use! It cut branches 1-2 thick just like butter! This was!
